The Wall Begins to Crumble


In 2017, I hit a wall. I was 22 years into my corporate career and I was having daily panic attacks, digestive & sleep issues and I was chronically in fight or flight mode. If someone walked up behind me I would jump out of my chair.

On the outside, I looked successful, put together and fulfilled. On the inside, I felt completely disconnected from myself. I had lost who I was.

What I understand now is this:
Burnout is the nervous system’s way of saying something isn’t aligned anymore.

When I made the decision to leave my role as Director of Accounting at Converse/Nike, that moment became the beginning of a very different relationship with myself. One rooted in honesty, safety, and self-care rather than pressure, performance, and survival.

Over the past 9 years, I’ve devoted myself to becoming a wellness coach & running a wellness center and learning everything I could about calming the nervous system & managing stress and anxiety. I figured out what is required to show up for yourself everyday, on good days and bad days. To show up authentically and genuine in order to create a life that I wanted to live.

The practices in this program didn’t just change my life and the lives of my clients—they reshaped all aspects of my life. This included both personally and professionally. Most importantly as I began to change, it positively impacted the relationships with the people closest to me, my husband and with my children.

These practices allowed me to dig deep and remember who I truly was.

I had to get comfortable being still, being with myself and I began to listen to what my mind, body and soul was communicating to me.

And out of this,

Meet Your Guide


Hi, I’m Laura Dillon.

I'm the Founder of Holistic Life Community, a wellness coach and a motivational speaker. I teach people how to slow down and pause. How to make themselves a priority. I give them tools to address their stress and anxiety and to start building a life that is rooted in what is important to them. A life aligned with their values.

After 22 years in a prestigious corporate career in Accounting & Finance, I learned the hard way to make myself a priority and to say "no". This was something that was difficult for me and that I was never taught to do.

A Journey of Self Discovery
is inspired by my own journey of finding myself. It weaves together the tools and insights that I have learned and discovered and that have changed my life and the life of my clients.

Through a hybrid approach of online learning & live coaching support, I will take you on a journey to explore what’s been buried beneath burnout, expectation, and survival mode. I’ll guide you with reflective prompts and embodied practices, meeting you exactly where you are in your journey. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you as you reconnect with what is true to you and to begin living in alignment with your passions and your purpose.
